As your season winds down it is important to take care of some simple housekeeping tasks before the next grow season. You have a few options but they all start with topping the plants. This step of removing the foliage insures your soil will be ready to use next grow season and discourages the onset of fungal issues and insects. My preferred method is to leave the bags exposed through the winter. Here in Utah we get a lot of temperature fluctuation that help break down the roots and return vital nutrients back to the soil. In the spring just remove the decomposed root stem and mix in your G3 Grow Formula and your set to go. An alternative method is to place down a tarp and dump out the bags and remove the stems and roots in the fall. Both methods work well, Just make sure you leave your garden the greatest chance of success in the spring with topping foliage and cleaning your grow area.
